Our Services
Culturally informed. Neurodiversity affirming. Rooted in lived experience.
Help us change lives by making a donation of any amount:
At CACIC, we are developing a range of services to support Chinese-speaking autistic individuals, their families, and the professionals who work with them. These services address long-standing challenges—such as cultural stigma, language barriers, and systemic exclusion—through thoughtful, tailored support grounded in trust, insight, and lived experience.
Our goal is to raise standards, reduce harm, and promote dignity in every interaction.
Note: These services are currently in development. We invite professionals to self-fund where possible, helping us offer reduced-cost or free support to community members. We also welcome funders and collaborators to help make these services sustainable and accessible for all.

Workshops & Training for Professionals
For educators, clinicians, and service providers seeking to better support Chinese-speaking autistic individuals.
Our sessions provide practical insight into cultural dynamics, communication styles, and neurodiversity-affirming practices—featuring real-life case studies and lived experience input.
Culturally Competent Consultation
One-to-one or organisational consultation for:
• Families navigating diagnosis, education, or services
• Organisations improving accessibility and cultural responsiveness
We help bridge the gap between formal systems and the real-world needs of Chinese-speaking communities.

Neurodiversity-Specialised Interpreting & Translation
Language should never be a barrier to dignity.
Using general interpreters or translators unfamiliar with autism can lead to serious harm — from miscommunication and misinformation to the use of outdated, stigmatising terms that reinforce shame.
Our interpreters are uniquely trained in both neurodiversity and cultural nuance, ensuring communication is accurate, respectful, and empowering.
**This is a leading and distinctive service in the UK. We invite local authorities, agencies, and service providers to:
- Engage our interpreters for autism-specific contexts
- Commission training for your interpreting teams in neurodiversity-affirming language and cultural competency
Publication & Book Translation
Preserving meaning beyond words.
When autism literature is translated without neurodivergent or cultural insight, critical messages are often lost — or worse, distorted through stigma. Even professional translators, without the right training, may unintentionally embed harmful narratives.
Our approach protects the integrity of each work by combining high-quality translation with deep understanding of neurodiversity and Chinese cultural contexts.
**We invite publishers and authors to partner with us to produce ethical, affirming, and culturally accurate Chinese-language editions of their work.

Culturally Relevant Therapy & Counselling
Therapeutic support that honours identity and context.
Our multilingual therapists understand both autism and the cultural dynamics that shape how it’s experienced in Chinese communities. Mental health is often viewed as a taboo subject or a sign of weakness in many cultures, and we are committed to breaking that stigma. We provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care that addresses the mental health and well-being of both autistic adults and their parent carers. By supporting families in navigating stress, stigma, and adjustment, we help foster emotional resilience, encourage open conversations, and promote mental wellness in a safe, affirming environment.
Peer Support Networks
Facilitated support groups for:
• Autistic adults
• Parents and carers
• Young people
These peer-led spaces foster connection, validation, and community—particularly important for families who feel isolated due to language or stigma.
